Home Series Poker, LLC was founded in 2005 in Houston, Texas for the purpose of creating a high quality DVD poker timer. The business began with three core members: Ben Doyle, Chad Supan, and Martin Pepper. With initial funding provided by a private investor, our first product was released in June, 2007.
At our core, we are poker players just like you who enjoy playing tournaments. Several years ago we discovered that we needed some way to better organize our poker tournaments. We found ourselves looking up at the clock every 15 minutes or setting an egg timer to time the blinds, but it just wasn't cutting it. Plus, it seemed that some players were always asking what blind level we were on or what the chip color denominations were. We needed an automated way to keep track of all these things. After looking around the market for something that fit our needs, we realized that nothing truly fit the bill. Computer software and stand-alone timers were either too complicated, too limiting, or too expensive. We needed a quality-focused, professionally made DVD that could keep track of blind time, chip colors, and blind levels, and would simply play on any TV. But nothing like that existed!
The Home Series Poker business was built around this idea. After more than three years of exhaustive researching, development, design, and testing we've finally released the Home Series Poker Tournament DVD. It's everything we wanted in a DVD timer. It works on any TV connected to a DVD Player or DVD compatible video game console, and it still works on your laptop or PC. It has a host of DVD features that simply cannot be matched. We are very proud of the work we've put into our product, and we hope you will see the difference when you use it.
